KAYAK: CANCELLED Simpsons Creek Brunswick River - 10-12km Grade Easy/Medium
Simpsons Creek is a tributary of the Brunswick River that runs south from Brunswick Heads into Tyagarah Nature Reserve.
Click here for the meeting point at 105 Tweed Street, Brunswick Heads at 0900 and be ready to paddle at 0930. We will paddle with the incoming tide, stopping for morning tea and lunch. Bring your swimmers if you feel like a dip in the river at a small sand dune on the left. Further downstream, the river is surrounded by tea tree forests, giving the water a deep reddish brown colour. We will have lunch before commencing our return paddle when the tide has turned, which will help us back to the start.
Members register online just for themselves and check the chat room in case the paddle has to be deferred.
